CWA Beginner Class Yorkville I – $115.00
This is a beginner class for learning the basics of whitewater kayaking in Class I and II water. Learn on this local whitewater course, where we will learn to paddle into and out of eddies, ferry across current, and surf wave holes. This is a 2 day intro to whitewater kayaking lesson led by Tom Costello.

This is a class I, II river that will be the introductory to beginner paddlers. Focus will be on, paddling gear and equipment, paddle strokes and control, river reading, boat control, strokes, catching and leaving eddies, surfing if levels permit, self and assisted rescue techniques.

No experience necessary. CWA can supply boats and gear if you are a member. Be prepared for long days outside and the weather and water can be cold, so appropriate clothing is necessary. Bring a towel and lunch. Contact the instructor for additional information and instructions.
